Dragon Awaken is completely new free-to-play MMO from Proficient City, the developers behind Wartune – an wildly successful MMO in the own right. Inside a tried-and-true theme, players become a warrior, own and train dragons, battle enemies, and much more.

Dragon Awaken begins with a tutorials that didn’t feel like a tutorial. Instead, the action starts fast and I was fighting Omega Zodiac within a few moments. Abilities and components are added one at a time, therefore the player feels like they’re gaining since they go as opposed to being held back through the overly-long explanations of most MMO introductions.

Quests are displayed in a feed and clicking on it sends you into automatism – not quite as heavy as SAO Legend, but close enough. The video game does a lot of the meet your needs. However, in battles you need to do arrive at choose your attack moves. Fighting is turn-based, which can be good or bad depending on your choice.

The overall game is aimed to be real-time strategy which allows players to produce their own personal strategies against increasingly difficult enemies. Plotting out my own battles moves was engaging enough that this took away from the pain in the heavy automatism of the rest of the game.

Within a few minutes of playing, I found myself rewarded my first pet: a dragon whelpling. Obviously, the thing was pretty darn cute.

In Dragon Awaken, players will be able to earn and train different kinds of dragons. Each their very own own list of stats. Some even ignore enemy defenses. They fight alongside you in battle as well as command your battle units while transferring their stats to your men.

Since countless MMOs keep their pets confined to the bucks shop, this is what Omega Zodiac Official Website. Fans of Rappelz could find the pet system here to their liking.

Aside from the epic dragon system and training, the video game didn’t seem to be contributing anything a new comer to an already overcrowded genre. Admit it: fantasy-based dragons are cool, but may well be the most cliché theme in free-to-play MMOs.

Still, we had been only capable to test areas of the gameplay through the closed beta and with a small time window. With any luck, Dragon Awaken’s absence of distinctiveness might only exist at the outset of the overall game and may fade as players progress. Since the audience grows, we can only hope that Dragon Awaken grows along with it.

From the beginning, it’s clear: Dragon Awaken is a beauty of a game title. The artwork is meticulous and the characters are gorgeous. Even the backdrops glow.

I hit my first glitch within the game about 30 mins in along with to restart the client to keep playing. The overall game found right where I left off, so no progress was lost. The inconvenience was minimal and hopefully bugs like these is going to be resolved by launch time.

Unfortunately, writing is the place where the game falls flat. The narrative is awkward and also the dialogue is contrived and stilted. An exclamation point after nearly every sentence gets old – fast. Like, lightning fast. It’s a pity, dexypky16 all of those other game is certainly a visual treat.

Would it be play to win?

Dragon Awake is free of charge-to-play, but like many MMOs of their kind, there is certainly always the option to get in to the game to achieve rewards. During my test, it took about 15 mins before I had been hit together with the obligatory “Upgrade to VIP” pop-up window. This game includes Diamonds, what type could conclude might be the game’s premium currency. Just how much this may impact gameplay and whether paying players will vastly outrank the non-playing ones is something only time will tell.

While parts of the game feel all-too-familiar, Dragon Awaken does offer some potentially unique aspect through its battle strategies and dragon training systems. Not surprisingly, fans of SAO Legend should enjoy the game’s similar format and feel.
